USE OF WASTE AND BY-PRODUCTS AS MATERIAL INPUTS AND CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS
Labtec develops several research projects that address the use of inputs and industrial waste widely available in the Amazon region for the development of eco-efficient systems.
Line 1
The first line of action, coordinated by Profs. Drs. Márcio Barata and Euler Arruda Jr. , emphasizes the development of low embodied carbon construction materials and systems, aiming at solutions that meet contemporary demands for efficiency, cost, environmental responsibility and mitigation of climate change.
Line 2
The second line, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Bruno Zemero , works in synergy with the first through the exploration of the frontiers of Environmental Comfort, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Urban Climate and Climate Resilience, in the areas of mitigation and adaptation.
