USE OF WASTE AND BY-PRODUCTS AS CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND SYSTEMS

Labtec develops several research projects that address the use of natural and industrial waste widely available in the Amazon region for the development of eco-efficient systems.

Welcome to the Construction Technology Laboratory!

Welcome to LabTEC, the Construction Technology Laboratory of the Federal University of Pará, where research is the path of innovation for social, economic and environmental sustainability, aiming for a climate-resilient future for the Amazon built environment.

The first line of action, coordinated by Profs. Drs. Márcio Barata and Euler Arruda Jr. , emphasizes the development of low embodied carbon construction materials and systems, aiming at solutions that meet contemporary demands for efficiency, cost, environmental responsibility and mitigation of climate change.

The second line, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Bruno Zemero , works in synergy with the first one through the exploration of the frontiers of Environmental Comfort, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Urban Climate and Climate Resilience, in terms of mitigation and adaptation.

We are committed to creating built environments that not only raise the standard of living for people and communities, but also promote harmony with the environment.

Join us on this journey of discovery and innovation!
